We use macromedia contribute for some of our sites, and I was setting up a new one. as a temporary password I had used n3ws1etT?R and contribute kept telling me the password was wrong. I changed it to something easier and it was fine. bizzarre.

Did you consider letting MM know about this yet? And what version of Contribute?
Can you tell us more about the server you’re using? If you used the same password, but not the British Pound symbol, would it have worked?
I tested this out a bit more. I’m using contribute 2.1 and if I take the ? sign out of my password, it works fine.
